Slowly but surely it’s getting there. Had I begged Jamie to do it for me, this site would have been done ages ago because she’s a genius and I’m horribly jealous. Sadly, building websites, especially the techie bits about code and files and so on, is not my forte. So it’s taking a bit longer than I had hoped. But on the bright side it’s coming along nicely and I’m very proud of myself and my hubby for helping me. Another big thanks to Jamie for letting me call with annoying questions and to the nice people at Moveable Type and Jalbum for helping a newbie.

So don’t give up on me yet. I still want you to tell me how very wrong I am. I just need a couple more days.

I haven’t got the site entirely finished and based on my mood, I may rip it all down (sept the blogs acorse) and redo it, but theres enough here to get started. The main thing that’s unfinished and bugging me is the bio page. Because I want everyone to know the purpose of Pranagraphy.

It’s not just a place for me to rant and pretend people care. The whole point is for people to argue with me, or agree with me, or just give me a different point of view. I want to grow as a person and learn and all that enlightenment mumbo jumbo. But I can’t do that if no one ever challenges me, if I only see things from my own point of view. So I am asking you to educate me, to make me see things your way and think about things I normally wouldn’t think about.

Of course, I’m not asking to get flamed or harrassed. I only want you to respond if you are doing so seriously. Telling me I’m stupid or calling me names isn’t going to help me reach Nirvana now is it? So be constructive please and don’t purposely piss each other off. Also, be honest and be true to yourself. Don’t et all high falutin and preechy ok? I don’t want you to be all politically correct and censored. I want you to give it to me straight.

Theres a seperate thread for each weeks debate topic and I will always link to the correct forum at the end of each post so please don’t start new threads. I want to keep this as organized and easy to read as possible. And if you have any suggestions just email me at prana@pranagraphy.com.

This is my first official real post of my first official real website. I’ve had websites before but they were, well, crap. And of course theres TPC but thats a joint project between me and Skyters and is more about fun and humor and sillyness. Pranagraphy is different.

Pranagraphy is for debate and introspection and growth. The whole purpose of the site is for you to argue with me. See the way I figure it, the only way to grow is to ask questions and make mistakes and I’m all about learning. So I figure I will post on different topics (one a week, a new one each Monday) and say all the ignorant stuff in my head and then give you the chance to change my mind. I’m not saying I will change my mind, just that it’s possible.

People are so affraid to have opinions about things and even more so to talk about them (you know who you are, don’t make me name you!) because they might sound stupid or get laughed at or Jebus forbid, piss someone off. But I don’t really care who I tick off since I know I’m not purposely doing so and how can I be faulted for being wrong if no one will help to right me? I don’t know everything, hell I don’t know much of anything, but I do have views and opinions (some of which I’m sure are horribly misguided) and maybe if I spew them out here and talk about them with you we can all teach each other a thing or two and become better people in the process.

The first topic, which will begin on this Monday the 17th, is beauty. So start thinking about what beauty is, what it means, what it’s for and what is beautiful to you. Then come back on Monday and read my post on Beauty and then give me a piece of your mind on the forums . Thanks for taking the time to educate me and share yourself with me
