Growing Up Fast
Sunday, May 15th, 2005Today marks the eighteenth day of life for our six little miracles. They’re so wobbly and squinty they look like drunken pirates. Drunken pirates that cry insesently. I wake up several times a night and sing them back to sleep because I like to pretend my voice induces slumber or at least motivates silence. Today we picked up the crib from April’s since the bin they were in was getting cramped. I was concerned they wouldn’t have enough walking space and who wants to adopt a bow legged cat? It must look funny, a baby’s crib next to our bed full of kittens. They seem to enjoy it though as they try to escape every other minute. Puff isn’t thrilled since she has to jump in and out and spends most of her time looking at me confused as to why I am torturing her.
The babies teeth are coming in, tiny little nubs that in a few more days will feel like needles. That’s probably why Puff is feeding them less. That and the fact that all six kittens smother her everytime they try to eat. They cry for her so much that Sean and I have to take them out and lay on the bed with them between us just so she can have a moments peace. Wednesday they’ll be three weeks old so I’m going to start offering them watered down kitten food and hopefully they will start to eat on thier own.
Sean and I are doing well. Our bedroom furniture still hasn’t arrived even though it’s been eight weeks and were were quoted four. I’m really unimpressed with the store and don’t plan to shop there again. We’ve been spending a couple hours each night playing WoW, which is a good game but doesn’t live up to all the hipe in my humble opinion. It’s not bad or anything, it’s just that people made it out to be so perfect that it couldn’t possibly measure up. This weekend we did some work on the house and should have pictures soon. We watched A Shark’s Tale which was good but not excellent and not for kids (again my humble opinion).
Well I wish there was more to say but life in Mayberry is pretty boring and that’s just how we like it. I’ll post new pictures of the babies tomorrow. Good luck and blessings, Prana
P.S. Congrats to Jamie akak Skyte on her charity walkathon. I wish we could have donated more but we are glad to be able to sponsor her at all and we are very proud of her.
