Watch Or Suffer My Wrath!

Our total so far is $276 which isn’t to bad for only two days. We’ve already beat our total from the last Thon we did when we raised I think $257 for End Abuse. If you haven’t sponsored yet and want to find out what all this is about please head over to our Blogathon page (on the right of the page) and read about it. The super spiffy sponsor gift alone should entice a mere ten bucks outta you. Yesterday I went and approved our ad for the paper. I was supposed to visit April afterwords but I’d had a really heinous migraine since noon and the pain was so bad I literally barfed on the way home. So Sean spent the evening playing doctor (not that kind, get your head out of the gutter) and did a good job taking care of me. See, that PhD was worth something afterall.

Tomorrow we’ll be going around town to put up flyers. I’m really hoping it won’t be nine hundred degrees. We have a thunderstorm warning for the next four days and we actually had a little storm yesterday around five thirty but it only lasted a minute or two tops. The cats all ran to the dining room and watched it rain through the patio doors. Most of them have never seen rain before. Our ad in the swapsheet runs for another couple weeks but since we’ve only found one cat a home I don’t think it’s going to do much good. Honestly I hope that if someone is going to adopt them they do it very soon because the longer they’re with us the harder it is to give them away.

Tonight at 7pm Firefly episode one airs on SciFi. I’m a huge fan and still have nightmares about it’s cancelation. If you haven’t seen the show pretty please with sugar on top watch it and if you’ve already seen the show watch it again. You can never get enough Firefly and besides anyone who doesn’t watch is dead to me. I’m serious, I’ll cut you out of my will and then you won’t get that really spiffy thing I was going to leave you. You know, the one you had your eye on. The thing…..

Good luck and blessings, Prana

Wooo! Wooo I say!

$246 buckeroos! That’s right kids, in a single day we gathered $246 in sponsors! Sure I had to beg, plead, and offer up my first born child but it was worth it. If your’re looking to sponsor and haven’t yet could you pretty please head over to our Blogathon page and check it out. We’re giving away at least 25 prizes, the number climbs by the day, plus we have nifty sponsor gifts, free music, free graphics and loads more.

Tomorrow I have to go up to the paper to approve my ad and then this weekend we’ll be going around town to various businesses to put up flyers. I’m really begining to worry Sean and I will fry during the fundraiser on the 30th so if you don’t hear from me after that it’s because I’m a slab of bacon and I’m laid up in the hospital with heat stroke or sun poisoning. Send me a nice flower arrangment.

I just want to thank our sponsors ahead of time. Without you guys we’d never be able to do this and I know the kids of Doernbecher’s would thank you if they could. I’ll have a rotating banner up on the blogathon page shortly so look for your banner soon. Okies, off to get more work done. Good luck and blessings, Prana

This place is really bugging me!

Yesterday we worked on Thon stuff as usual. The pictures of the prizes and sponsor gifts are up so go enter our contest already! We worked on Charmed Design some to but I’m still having issues getting the gallery the way I want it and seeing as how the gallery is the whole point of the site that’s something I’ll have to work on today. Our host, Globat, isn’t helping either. We’ve had a lot of minor problems with them so steer clear of them.

Yesterday we also put the foam lining up inside all the door frames and put tape around the patio sliding glass doors. It doesn’t look all that lovely but it will keep the bugs out and hopefully the cold air in. Our electric bill went from $40 in February to $195 this month! Besides I’m tired of getting up in the morning and finding these all over the dining room floor:

This morning I woke up to find that the plumbing wasn’t working. There was water backed up in the tubs and the toilets barely flushed and drained very slowly. Poor Sean had to wash his hair in the sink. So Sean took Puff to the vet for her spay appointment while I cleaned up the house. Wouldn’t you know it, as soon as the house is all nice and neat and Sean pulls into the drive everything starts working again. The toilets don’t have much suction though so if it’s still like that this afternoon I’ll have to call the manager anyway.

This morning the cats and piled up on the loveseat to watch the birds in the front yard dig holes and then ‘swim in them. I figure it’s some kind of dirt bath to keep the bugs off but I like to imagine the birds are doing a choreographed dance for us. Sometimes I’ll hum classical music, like they’re doing a happy little ballet. Yes, I’m a sad sad girl out here in the desert with no theatre. But we like it and besides the birds don’t charge sixty bucks a show.

Speaking of the cats, here are some adorable kitty pictures for you to melt over. Good luck and blessings, Prana
