Flex Friday Plans

Yesterday I got my super spiffy new camera. It’s so nice I’m affraid to use it in case my crummy pictures tarnish it’s perfection. Yesterday three of the cats (Zoey, Kaylee and Wash) got neuteured (7 down 4 to go). I was worried about them all day but when Sean brought them home they looked really good and were already running around and playing.

Last weekend we stopped at the local library on a lark. They were having a book sale but I wasn’t feeling well so we only stayed about ten minutes. While I was there I found some nearly new and somewhat expensive art books. One is a book on facial expressions and the other one is a Japanese book that is almost entirely photos of asian women in various nude poses. I found it in a box marked ‘Adults Only’ even though it was right out on the table with the other stuff and kids were all around it. I felt weird the whole time I had it and tried to keep it pressed up against me and behind other books so some kids uptight mom would’t see it and have a stroke. I imagine the older couple who rang us up thought I was some kind of asian fetish pervert or something but in reality it’s a book of body poses that artists use to get angles, shadows and proportions correct. I’m totally in love with both books especially since I got the two of them for less than thirty bucks.

This weekend we’re going to straighten up the house and then use my new camera to take a video of it for the family. I know it’s kind of silly since this isn’t a real house but it’s almost like a house and it’s my first ‘real home’ and I’m proud of it. If the file isn’t insanely huge I’ll put it up on the site for everyone to see.

I’ve been thinking lately about how a lot of people I know look like people on tv. For instance, our good friend Steven looks and awefully lot like the guy from the Enzyte commercials. We kid him about it all the time especially since he and his wife Lisa have had two kids in the last few years. I don’t have a very good photo of him but I assure you they’re nearly identical. Meanwhile Sean looks a good bit like Rainn Wilson who plays Dwight Schrute on NBC’s The Office. Whereas I bare a striking resemblance to Beaker from Sesame Street. We could be twins.
