Hello loyal fans, friends obligated to read my boring journals and strangers who are wondering how they ended up on my page. Did you miss me? I brought you back a present, pictures of Delaware! Woo!

I thought you might be interested to know that we flew out to Delaware on the 12th and returned on the 16th with a new house, an empty wallet and a healthy hate for airports everywhere. The plane rides themselves were not bad, we’re fearless when it comes to hurtling through the air far above the planet. Although I have to admit riding in the little local plane to LAX I had a nice long chat with every diety I could think of. It was the airports, or more specifically running like crazy people to reach our next flight in time, that made it so miserable. The hotel we stayed at was aweful to but I won’t bore you with all the gory details. Suffice to say we’re happy to be home.

We looked at a lot of places, some nice, some not so nice and finally settled on a little ranch style house in Wilmington. It’s spendy, but it’s a nice little house with a pretty yard in a ritzy neighborhood. In other words: privacy and safety. Considering the ghettos (literally) we’ve lived in in the past it’s a welcome change. We’re not out of the woods yet, the first months rent and security deposit pretty much wiped us out so it will take a good four months before we’re all caught up financially. I have a feeling we’ll be eating a lot of top raman.

In happier news my mom and dad are flying out in less than three weeks to drive the Uhaul while we drive the van we bought a couple weeks ago and because I’m a super fantabulastic daughter I’m giving them our car. They need a good car and we don’t really need two cars and I figure it’s the least I can do to repay them for such a long trip.

So now I’m of to pack and then we move in early May. I’ll try to pop back in and update you as much as I can but don’t be surprised if you don’t hear from me for a month or two.
