Still Kickin

No, I’m not dead, despite feeling like I’m dying and on a few occasions hoping I would die. The chest cold Sean brough home turned into a full blown sinus infection. In the first week I tried homeopathic remedies. In the second week I tried to kill it with any and all drugs at my disposal. By the third week I’d had enough and since our insurance finally kicked in I went to the doctor. I’ve been on antibiotics and antihistimenes for four days now and my temp is still hovering between 99 and 101 but I’m starting to feel better. I go in a couple weeks to have an ultrasound of the hematoma in my leg (from whacking it on the coffee table last December) to make sure there isn’t a clot cutting off the blood flow. Anytime I stand for more than a few minutes that leg gets very tight and swells up making it impossible to walk so I’m hoping we can get that resolved soon.

Having been sick for the last few weeks and barely getting any sleep I haven’t had the energy to do much around here which is why the house is a landfill and we’re surviving on cereal. Now that I’m starting to feel better I’m doing a little each day to improve the house and yesterday I even ate some hot food. We installed two of the three AC’s so at least we can get some sleep but the rest of the house is a furnace. Its roughly 90 degrees in most of the house and extremely humid and uncomfortable. We’re still having issues with the creepy crawlies as well so I’ll be putting the plastic up over the rest of the windows this weekend assuming I don’t come down with the bubonic plague which is entirely possible.

Ok, enough with the whining and negativity. In happier news I’m learning to use Illustrator and I’m working on some new stuff. Also, I’ve discovered the BBCA channel and have decided to become British in so far as stealing all their slang. I also got really interested in two of thier shows, Hex and Doctor Who and I’ve downloaded all the available episodes. I could just wait patiently and watch them on tv but I don’t have that kind of will power. Hex isn’t the kind of show I typically watch, it’s a supernatural teen drama full of sex and angsty melodrama but I have a girl-crush on Jemima Rooper and can’t help but watch it. As for Doctor Who, I hated it when Sean first started watching it but now I think it’s kind of charming and funny in a B movie kind of way.

Ok that’s all I can manage right now. I’m exhausted and dizzy (yay for side effects!) and I’m going to go lay down. Good luck and blessings, Prana
